Research

Our SENCOs have researched and developed a fantastic new assessment tool which is easy to use and will show the progress of SEN pupils in terms of their Emotional heath and well-being. The tool has been shared at both the Inclusion and EIP Conferences and is available free of charge to all East Sussex Schools on czone.. If you would like to access this tool please contact us at head@st-marks.e-sussex.sch.uk

Do join our Network Partnership meetings which share good practice and provide interesting speakers - see CPD.

New Primary National Curriculum Implementation/ Broad and Balance Curriculum

We are very keen to support other schools in managing the implementation of the new national curriculum  and the focus on a broader curriculum for primary schools and hope you will find the work we have undertaken in this area both interesting and useful. Our subject leaders have been beavering away and have developed schemes of work in key subject areas to help you whether a school with single form entry or vertical grouping.

The schemes we have for you to consider are based on Computing, Science, History, Geography and PSHE

Click here to access them.

The subject leaders have put together ideas for engaging cross-curricular learning journeys. We would value feedback so do email us with your thoughts or add your comments below.

Pens on Fire

Are you looking for ways to bring GPS to life and to help those pupils for whom spelling, in particular, is a problem. Our 'Pens on Fire' project makes use of reading sketchbooks to explore ways of graphically representing words. If you are interested in this initiative do contact us on smtsa@st-marks.e-sussex.sch.uk to arrange a visit.

Universities of Brighton and Sussex
