All about St. Mark's Teaching School Alliance
2021-22 As with all Teaching School Alliances across the country, the St Mark's TSA will conclude on the 31st August, 2021, following DfE decisions to appoint Teaching School Hubs in their place. STEP have been appointed as the Teaching School Hub for East Sussex and as the Sussex Network and East Sussex Networks will continue, a new Sussex collaborative Network and East Sussex Learning Collaborative Partnership will work with the Teaching School Hubs as we move into a new format. 2020-21 The St Mark's Teaching School Alliance has been built on some very long standing and well-developed partnerships which are based very securely on trust, a shared ethos and ethical considerations. For all of the partners involved with the alliance there is a strong will to share the good and outstanding practices we have to enable as many childen as possible to benefit from them. St Mark's CEP School is the lead school and has 5 highly valued strategic partner schools; Bonners CEP School; Buxted CEP School; High Hurstwood CEP School; Manor County Primary School; Mark Cross CEP School; and The Spire Federation. Our immediate network of schools is the WEIP (Wealden Education Improvement Partnership of schools). We have links with the University of Brighton, the University of Sussex and the Institute of Education and they are also strategic partners along with the Diocese of Chichester. Our school governors are key members of our teams and participate in our Teaching School Strategic Board meetings, and we are working hard to develop joint working practices for governors. If you would like more information about our Joint Ethos meetings and Joint training for governors do contact us. We are also delighted to have Jenny Dudgeon, a National leader of Governance working with us to support governor training and Melanie Saunders, who brings with her a wide spectrum of educational expertise. We are always delighted to make new connections and to work with other groups so do let us know if you would like to be involved in any of the St Mark's Teaching Alliance work. Our email address is crivers@st-marks.e-sussex.sch.uk or telephone 01825 830375. This is just the beginning, and we are relishing the exciting challenges and opportunities that will enable us to help as many children as possible to reach their full potential through: high quality initial teacher training; programmes for newly qualified teachers, middle leaders and senior leaders; continuing professional development; research; and enrichment. |
