Here, you will find information regarding CPD opportunities for all Hubs, Moderation cluster meetings and other Early Years events. 

Transition Ideas 

- Set up an easy way for parents to get in touch with you - for example, a dedicated email for new parents so they can send in questions and feedback.

- Online challenges hosted by a class toy or mascot. 

- Develop a stone art challenge outside your setting and encourage new families to add their designs and familiarise themselves with the walk/journey to school.

- Share digital 'welcome packs' for children. 

- Introducing transition songs via videos or voice recordings.

-Sending welcome video or voice recording for your new cohort .

- Video tours of The classroom, play area, hall, etc. 

- Teachers and support staff introducing themselves (video or through booklets). 

- Story-time videos for children to watch in their own time.

- Setting challenges over online journals such as Tapestry, 2 simple etc. 

- Tapestry are letting customers add their new cohort early, to support with transition. 

- Pair up your reception children (if in Year R) with a (future) Year 6 buddy and ask the Year 5s to send letters and challenges to them to create a supportive bond. 

- Remote Q&A sessions such as on your setting facebook page/school website etc.
